Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- Srinagar- A cloudburst struck the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district in the early hours of Saturday, triggering flash floods that are believed to have washed away several vehicles and caused damage to property, officials said.

The cloudburst occurred at around 2:30 a.m., they said, adding that the exact extent of the damage was still being assessed.

However, no loss of life or injuries have been reported so far, the officials said.

Following the incident, the Chatroo-Kishtwar National Highway has been closed for vehicular movement, they added.
