Srinagar, July 18 -- Srinagar- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday declared the results of the second edition of the Class 10 board examinations, with more than 59 per cent of students appearing for improvement succeeding in raising their scores.

According to CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, over 6.63 lakh students appeared for the second board examination, including more than 5.13 lakh candidates who opted to improve their performance in subjects they had already cleared.

"Over 59 per cent of candidates improved their performance as compared to the main exam," Bhardwaj said.
