Srinagar, Aug. 17 -- Srinagar- Bear attacks have triggered concern in Khonmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar after a 57-year-old woman was injured in a bear attack on Monday, less than 24 hours after a man was mauled by the animal in the area.

An official said that the woman was injured in a bear attack this morning near her residence in Shah Mohalla area of Khonmoh, reported news agency KNO.

He said the woman was later identified as Fatima (57), wife of Mohammad Maqbool Wani, a resident of Shah Mohalla, Khonmoh.

Pertinently, the incident comes a day after a man was injured in a bear attack in the Shiv Dakri area of Khonmoh. The back-to-back incidents within less than 24 hours have triggered concern among residents in the area.
