Srinagar, Aug. 22 -- Srinagar- A 65-year-old woman was injured after she was attacked by a wild bear in Achabal in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said.

An official said that the woman was injured in Darpora Khundoora village of Achabal and was subsequently shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment, reported news agency KNO.

He said the woman was later identified as Mubeena Banoo (65), wife of late Mohammad Maqbool Mantoo and a resident of Darpora.

Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiate.)
