Srinagar, Oct. 6 -- The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Baramulla district was removed from his post on Monday, just two days after issuing a circular directing teaching and non-teaching staff to refrain from criticising government policies on social media.
Bashir Ahmad Shah, the CEO in charge of Baramulla, has been attached to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir pending inquiry, while the CEO of Bandipora has been given additional charge of the district until further orders, according to an official order issued by the administrative secretary of the School Education Department.
