India, March 1 -- Authorities on Sunday evening announced that restrictions will be imposed across all districts of Kashmir from Monday as a precautionary measure following tension over the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

Senior officials in the security establishment said that the decision to impose restrictions is a precautionary measure to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents in view of demonstrations reported from several parts of Kashmir.

"Restrictions will be imposed on Monday as a precautionary measure. The situation will be closely monitored," a top official said, as per news agency KNO.
