India, Feb. 26 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said daughters lead and excel when given equal opportunity, as he addressed the 21st Convocation of the University of Kashmir.

The ceremony was graced by the Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan and attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Higher Education Minister Sakina Itoo, Vice Chancellor Prof Nilofer Khan, vice chancellors of various universities, heads of departments, senior civil and police officials, faculty members, students and their parents.

Congratulating the graduating students, the Lieutenant Governor extended his best wishes and urged them to define their future with clarity and commitment. "One purpose. One priority. Country first," he said.
