Srinagar, June 30 -- Srinagar- Ahead of the commencement of the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, traffic authorities have issued a fresh advisory regulating vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), with restrictions on heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) coming into effect from July 1.According to the advisory, no movement of HMVs will be allowed from Qazigund towards Jammu and from Jakheni in Udhampur towards Srinagar after 7 pm on July 1. However, Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) will be permitted to ply on the highway till 11 pm.

The first batch of Amarnath pilgrims is scheduled to leave the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu on July 2.
