SrinagarIndia, Sept. 24 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday announced the schedule for elections to four Rajya Sabha seats from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which have remained vacant since February 2021.

The notification states that the official election notification will be issued on October 6, with the last date for filing nominations on October 13. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 14, while candidates can withdraw by October 16. Polling is scheduled for October 24, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with counting of votes at 5:00 PM the same day.
