Srinagar, May 1 -- Srinagar- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday said it arrested a head constable after he was caught red-handed accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe in Srinagar.
They said the accused had allegedly demanded money to remove a complainant's name from an FIR registered at Police Station Soura.
In a statement, a spokesperson said the Anti-Corruption Bureau received a written complaint from a complainant, alleging therein that demand of bribe of Rs 15,000/- by one public servant namely HC Parvaiz Ahmad Rather EXK-No.992204 posted at District Srinagar, for removing the name of complainant from the list of accused in case FIR No. 09/2026 of P/S Soura Srinagar etc.
