Srinagar, Sept. 29 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Tuesday passed five Bills moved by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the ongoing Autumn Session, while two other Bills seeking amendments to the salaries and allowances of ministers and legislators were withdrawn following opposition from BJP members.

Seven Bills had been moved by Omar in the House, of which five were passed and two were withdrawn.

The Bills passed by the Assembly cover municipal governance, Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living, taxation, legislators' pension and decriminalisation and rationalisation of offences.
