Srinagar, Sept. 18 -- Fruit growers in Kashmir heaved a sigh of relief as the administration cleared 4,873 stranded fruit-laden trucks over the past two days, ending the disruption that had hit markets and prices across Kashmir Valley.

Of these, 2,239 trucks moved via the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and 2,634 through the Mughal Road, under the supervision of IG Traffic M. Suleman Choudhary. The final batch of 500 trucks is set to leave Qazigund tonight, completing the clearance and easing traffic congestion.
