Srinagar, July 28 -- Srinagar- At least 39 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured on Tuesday after the bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and crashed into a house in Ganiwan area of Ganderbal district, officials said.

The accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the bus while negotiating a curve. The vehicle veered off the road and landed on a vacant house, causing extensive damage to the structure. Officials said the house prevented the bus from plunging into the nearby Sindh stream, averting a major tragedy.

No one was inside the house at the time of the accident.
