Srinagar, Sept. 23 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Government does not have consolidated, course-wise data on the employability of graduates from government degree colleges, universities and cluster universities, the Higher Education Department has informed the Legislative Assembly.

In a written reply to Unstarred D. No. 1/6/76, tabled by MLA Arjun Singh Raju, the department said Jammu and Kashmir has 145 government degree colleges, which collectively produce around 25,000 to 30,000 graduates every year.

However, it said standardised employability data was not available for the academic sessions 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26.
