Srinagar, May 20 -- Jammu- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to newly recruited constables of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and urged them to remain vigilant against evolving security threats while upholding the force's legacy of courage and service.Addressing the recruits during the appointment letter presentation ceremony in Jammu, Sinha said the nature of terrorism and law and order challenges had changed, requiring constant alertness from the police force.

"We must remain constantly alert and vigilant. The nature of law and order threats and terrorism has evolved, demanding a constant, unyielding vigilance and alert to threats that hide in plain sight," he said.
