SRINAGAR, Aug. 19 -- The annual Urs of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom Sahib (RA) was observed today with traditional fervour, drawing thousands of devotees to his shrine at Hari Parbat.

Popularly known as Makhdoom Sahib (RA) and revered as the 'Sultan-ul-Arifeen' or 'King of Gnostics', the 16th-century Sufi saint continues to inspire devotion nearly 500 years after his passing. Followers from across the Valley thronged the shrine throughout the day, offering prayers and seeking blessings.
