Srinagar, Oct. 21 -- Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner Dr Basharat Qayoom, IAS, on Tuesday inspected the Achan landfill site and reviewed solid waste management operations, including legacy waste bio-mining, leachate treatment, construction and demolition (C&D) waste processing, and odour control measures.During the inspection, the Commissioner reviewed waste handling, transportation, segregation and processing arrangements.
