India, March 9 -- Educational institutions across the Kashmir Valley reopened on Monday after remaining closed for more than three months due to the winter break.
Elementary level classes were earlier scheduled to reopen on March 2, however the reopening was postponed as the government ordered the closure of all educational institutions across Kashmir as a precautionary measure following protests that erupted after the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The higher secondary level classes and other colleges and universities were also closed following the middle east tensions.
