Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- New UPI guidelines issued by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will take effect from Friday, August 1, across all platforms like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm. These changes aim to enhance user experience and curb fraud by easing pressure on systems during peak hours.

As per the new rules, UPI users can now check their bank balance up to 50 times a day. However, apps can restrict or delay balance enquiry requests during peak load times. Going forward, users will also see their account balance displayed with every transaction.
