Anantnag, June 5 -- Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, on Friday launched a tree plantation drive in Anantnag to mark World Environment Day by planting a Deodar (Cedrus deodara) sapling, reaffirming the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.

The plantation programme was held in the presence of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Kashmir Range, Javid Iqbal Matoo, besides other senior police officers and officials.

The initiative was aimed at promoting environmental protection, enhancing green cover and creating awareness about the importance of preserving natural resources among police personnel as well as the general public.
