BUDGAM, Aug. 1 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited the ancient Vasuki Nag Temple in Hushroo village of Tehsil Chadoora, where he paid obeisance and inspected the ongoing developmental works being taken under the heritage conservation and religious infrastructure revival schemes.
The Vasuki Mandir, a revered site associated with the local Kashmiri Pandit community, holds deep religious and historical significance in the region. Known for its spiritual importance dating back centuries. Today's visit by the DC coincided with the observance of a two-day annual Hawan, being conducted at the temple after nearly three decades, bringing back an atmosphere of devotion and community spirit.
