The rights of the girl child have never been fully put into practice. There are various reasons, the most important one being the underestimation of a girl's potential. From the home to schools, we underestimate girls' innate capacities. Providing opportunities, appreciation, and space can empower girls, yet we often fail to do so. Why? The reason is that we think a girl is not a permanent member of the family, which again leads to the exploitation of the girl child.
