GANDERBAL, Aug. 11 -- Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today visited Qamaria Ground to take a firsthand appraisal of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.

During the visit, the DC reviewed the arrangements for stage setup, security, sanitation, water supply, electricity, barricading and other facilities to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

DC also enquired about the preparations of March past, cultural events and Public Address System. On the occasion, the officers were directed to work in close coordination to ensure all arrangements are completed well in advance, and that all necessary facilities are provided for the public and participants.
