Srinagar, Aug. 2 -- Google has just three weeks to begin rolling out sweeping changes to Android and the Play Store, after a U.S. court sided again with Epic Games - leaving Google no option but to comply, even as it continues efforts to appeal.

The legal battle began in 2020 and reached a key verdict in late 2024, when a jury ruled that Google maintained an illegal monopoly over Android app distribution. Google appealed - and lost again this week. As a result, the tech giant must begin dismantling several long-standing policies by August 8.

According to the court's injunction (as reported by The Verge), Google must now:
