SRINAGAR, Sept. 19 -- Canara Bank, one of India's leading public sector banks, has contributed Rs. 25 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support people affected by the recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir.
The cheque was presented to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah by Canara Bank Circle Head Manoj Kumar Das. He was accompanied by Regional Head Prashant Kumar and Senior Manager Sheikh Aaqib.
The recent floods left a trail of devastation across several districts of Jammu and Kashmir, damaging homes, roads, and standing crops while also displacing thousands of families. Relief and rehabilitation efforts are underway.
