Srinagar, May 7 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday changed his profile picture on X to "Operation Sindoor" as a tribute to the courage and bravery of the Indian armed forces on the anniversary of the operation.

In a post on X, Shah said that "#OperationSindoor stands as a historic mission of India that will always remind enemies of the unmatched striking capability of the armed forces."

The Home Minister said the operation would be remembered in history as a defining moment when the armed forces' precision strike capability, accurate intelligence inputs from security agencies and firm political determination came together to eliminate terror infrastructure across the border after the Pahalgam attack.
