Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- Asteroid 2025 OJ10, about 87 feet wide, will zip past Earth today at roughly 14,390 mph, NASA has confirmed. The space rock will come as close as 2.19 million miles-far enough to be safe, but close in astronomical terms.
Part of the Aten group, which regularly crosses Earth's orbit, 2025 OJ10 isn't classified as hazardous, as it falls short of NASA's size and distance thresholds for danger. Still, scientists are tracking it closely, since even tiny orbital shifts could matter in the future.
