Srinagar, Aug. 20 -- What initially looked like a chilling case of kidnapping has turned into something far darker in Ganderbal district. A girl has been arrested for murdering her younger sister and then trying to pass it off as an abduction - a deception that fooled many until the police uncovered the brutal truth.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal said the 14-year-old victim's body was recovered from Shepora two days ago. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was immediately formed, with forensic experts called in from Srinagar to assist in the probe.
