Nigeria, Sept. 16 -- Usman Haruna, the editor-in-chief of NupeKO TV, a media outlet based in Kwara State, says he is being threatened for his work as a journalist.

A journalist since 2014, Haruna told the Foundation for Investigative Journalism that the threat came from an unknown individual identified as 'Biggy' on August 23, but he did not discover it until a few days later.

According to the message, Haruna and his family were being monitored by an unknown person in his community, who had instructed others to carry out brutal acts against them.
