Nigeria, March 25 -- The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says reconciliation efforts are ongoing with the faction aligned to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as the party moves to resolve its internal crisis ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The PDP chairman, Kabiru Turaki, disclosed this on Wednesday during a press conference in Abuja, stating that both camps have begun discussions to settle their differences.

Turaki said the reconciliation process followed an advisory by the Court of Appeal in Ibadan, Oyo State, which urged all parties involved in the dispute to explore peaceful resolution mechanisms.
