Liberia, March 17 -- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the recent terror attacks in Maiduguri, Borno State, assuring Nigerians that the country will not bow to fear or intimidation.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the President commiserated with families of victims, sympathised with the injured, and stood in solidarity with the people of Borno during what he described as a difficult time.

Tinubu said the attacks were deeply distressing, noting that the loss of lives was painful. He, however, described the incidents as desperate attempts by terrorist elements facing sustained pressure from Nigerian security forces.
