Nigeria, Sept. 8 -- The lawmaker representing Edu Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Saba Yisa Gideon, has accused Speaker Yakubu Danladi-Salihu of "selling" the Assembly to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, alleging that he prioritises his ambition to succeed the governor over the interests of Kwarans.

Gideon made the allegation during an interview on Diamond FM, Ilorin.

"Kwara State House of Assembly is peaceful because Hon. Yakubu Danladi has sold our Assembly to the governor. He doesn't defend the interests of Kwarans; he is only defending his personal interest of becoming Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's successor," he said.
