Nigeria, Sept. 13 -- The youngest lawmaker in Nigeria, Hon. Rukayat Shittu has called for citizens' participation in an upcoming public hearing on the Kwara State Electricity Power Sector Bill, 2025.
The hearing, billed for Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 am in Committee Room 213 of the Kwara State House of Assembly Complex, Ilorin, is expected to mark a turning point in the state's legislative efforts to fix its power challenges.
Announcing the development on her social media page, Shittu said the bill seeks to establish a stronger and more reliable electricity framework for Kwara, while urging stakeholders, experts, and everyday citizens to contribute their perspectives.
