Police rescue three kidnap victims after 40 days in captivity
Nigeria, June 6 -- The Kaduna State Police Command has rescued three kidnap victims who spent over 40 days in captivity and arrested five suspected informants linked to a kidnapping syndicate operating in the state.
The Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna.
According to Hassan, the victims were rescued during a joint security operation led by personnel from Fushin Kada in collaboration with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Hunkuyi.
He explained that the operation followed weeks of intelligence gathering, strategic surveillance, and coordinated efforts by security agencies, which led operatives to a suspected bandits' hideout.
