Nigeria, Sept. 19 -- The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has criticized Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and his deputy, Kayode Alabi, over what it described as their absence and silence in the face of worsening insecurity across the state.

The opposition party, in a statement issued in Ilorin on Friday by its Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, said the recent relocation of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp from its statutory site in Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area, to Ilorin, was an embarrassment to the state's image.

The PDP said such a development demanded direct communication from the governor, lamenting that Kwarans only learned of the move through social media.
