Nigeria, April 12 -- The Executive Chairman of Patigi Local Government Area, Hon Adam Rufai has acquired a vehicle worth N68.26 million from the council's allocations, according to budget documents.

Findings from the local government's financial records show that a total of N68,263,473 was released under the budget line tagged "Purchase of Motor Vehicle" (code: 23010105) for the procurement of a vehicle for the Executive Chairman.

The expenditure was listed under capital projects and financed from statutory allocations to the council within the period under review.

In a separate provision, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Aina Janet of the council is also to receive a vehicle valued at N70 million this year.
