Nigeria, Aug. 14 -- Police officers on Friday conducted a route march through major roads in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, ahead of Saturday's governorship election.
The exercise involved armed and unarmed personnel who moved through parts of the state capital as the police demonstrated their preparedness to maintain security before, during and after the poll.
The route march was part of measures aimed at reassuring residents and strengthening public confidence in the security arrangements for the election.
