Nigeria, Sept. 22 -- The Oyo State government has announced plans to deploy 2,000 security operatives to ensure a hitch-free coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Chief Bayo Oyero, Chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee and former President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), disclosed this during an interactive session with journalists at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan on Saturday.

Oyero said the deployment of police, Civil Defence, and Amotekun personnel was necessary given the caliber of dignitaries expected at the event, including President Bola Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, lawmakers, traditional rulers, and other high-profile guests.
