Nigeria, Jan. 12 -- The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has assured Nigerians that all Nestle infant formula products approved for sale in the country are safe for consumption.

The agency said the reassurance follows a recent voluntary recall by Nestle UK involving specific batches of SMA Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula distributed in over 50 countries. NAFDAC clarified that the recalled products are limited to UK batches and are neither registered nor authorised for sale in Nigeria.
