Nigeria, May 2 -- The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has conducted its joint state, local government, and ward congress in Ilorin, where party members from across the state gathered at the party secretariat to elect new executives at all levels.

The exercise was officially declared open by the Electoral Chairman, Ilesanmi Damilola, in the presence of INEC officials, including Mr. Okpanachi Ojodale, Head of Department, Election and Party Monitoring (EPM), and Oyinole Charles, Head of Unit, Election Monitoring.

Chairman of the Congress, Dr. Apaokagi Ridwan, described the exercise as an affirmation of executives across the state, local governments, and wards, noting that the process reflects the party's internal democracy and unity.
