Nigeria, Nov. 26 -- In response to the wave of the insecurities across the country, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday declared a nationwide security emergency, while also announcing sweeping directives for expanded recruitment into the Armed Forces and Police, the activation of forest guards, and tighter security measures for all vulnerable areas.
Tinubu, in a statement he personally issued, said, "Today, in view of the emerging security situation, I have decided to declare a nationwide security emergency and order additional recruitment into the Armed Forces."
