India, Aug. 17 -- A man identified as Alhaji Gomina has been shot and killed by suspected bandits in the Lade community of Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.

According to a local source, the tragic incident occurred on Sunday night, shortly after the deceased had observed the Isha prayer.

He was said to be on his way home when he was ambushed and fatally attacked.

Residents of the community have been thrown into mourning, describing the killing as shocking and devastating.
