Nigeria, April 29 -- A group of political stakeholders in Ilorin has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second-term bid, while also backing Senator Saliu Mustapha as its preferred candidate for the Kwara State governorship in 2027.

The position was made known on Tuesday at a press conference held by the Ilorin Emirate Political Advisory Council (IEPAC), where members outlined what they described as their collective political direction ahead of the next general election cycle.

Speaking at the briefing, the Council's National Coordinator, Dr. Yakub Yahaya Oloriegbe, said the decision followed extensive consultations and a review of political developments across the state and the country.
