Nigeria, Sept. 13 -- Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has hailed the courage of vigilantes in Isin Local Government following a deadly clash with armed criminals at Eleyin community.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor praised the joint resistance of vigilante groups from Isin and Irepodun, describing their action as a reaffirmation of the people's right to live without fear or intimidation.
He expressed sorrow over the death of a vigilante member, Mr. Saheed Adeshina, who was killed during the operation, praying for the repose of his soul and announcing a N10 million support package for his family.
