Nigeria, May 19 -- Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has endorsed Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki as his preferred successor ahead of the All Progressives Congress governorship primaries scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the governor said the endorsement followed "extensive consultations with party structures and leadership" within the All Progressives Congress.

AbdulRazaq described Yahaya Seriki as "young, pro-people, astute, and broad-minded," noting that the ambassador had distinguished himself as a political mobiliser with significant investments and goodwill across Kwara State.
