Nigeria, April 20 -- At least three soldiers have been killed following a pre-dawn attack on a military base in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, in an incident first reported by Premium Times.
The attack, believed to have been carried out by fighters linked to Ansaru, occurred around 3 a.m. in Kemanji, a village near the fringes of Kainji National Park, an area long suspected to serve as a hideout for insurgent groups.
According to local sources and security insiders, the attackers stormed the military camp and opened fire on personnel, killing three soldiers and injuring four others, including a member of a local vigilante group.
