Nigeria, Aug. 2 -- The contentious battle between the Niger State government and Badeggi Radio Station has taken a dramatic turn, with state officials now ordering the demolition of the station's premises.
This action follows claims that the radio station has been inciting violence within the community.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, during a recent APC Caucus meeting, justified the closure of the station by stating, "We cannot allow any medium to incite the people against the government."
He further accused the station's owner, Alhaji Shuaibu Badeggi, of disturbing public order and mandated the revocation of its broadcast license.
