Nigeria, July 29 -- In a display of bravery and tactical superiority, the troops of Operation Hadin Kai have once again thwarted a coordinated attack by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Bitta, within the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. This incident occurred around 10:25 PM on July 25.
The latest encounter comes just days after a similar assault by Boko Haram on the same community.
The Defense Headquarters, while confirming the development, said that despite the intensity of the firefight, no military casualties were recorded during this operation.
