Nigeria, April 14 -- A governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Dr Muideen Olaniyi Azeez Salako, has stepped up efforts to strengthen his political base ahead of the 2027 election, following a high-level visit to the All Progressives Congress secretariat in Offa.

Dr Salako, who is also the Global President of the Offa Descendants Union, was received by party faithful, ward executives, local government officials and other stakeholders, in what observers described as a clear display of unity and growing support within the party.

The meeting, held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the party's secretariat in Osunte, is part of his ongoing grassroots consultations as he seeks to rally backing ahead of the APC governorship primaries.
