176 Woro abductees still in captivity, NDC urges AbdulRazaq to intensify rescue efforts
Nigeria, July 13 -- The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kwara State has urged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to intensify efforts to secure the release of 176 women and children abducted from Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area, saying the victims have remained in captivity for more than 150 days.
The opposition group made the appeal in a statement issued on Sunday, expressing concern over what it described as the prolonged silence surrounding the victims' plight and calling on the state government not to abandon the affected families.
